Healthy Creamsicle Smoothie to Boost Up Your Vitamin C

Vitamin C is an essential vitamin, which means that our bodies cannot produce it. Vitamin C can strengthen your body’s natural defenses with its strong antioxidants properties, strengthen skin making it heal faster, and lower blood pressure. These are just a few reasons why you should consume your fair dose of it on the daily. In honor of all around health, we present to you a healthy Creamsicle smoothie to boost up your vitamin C. It’s super healthy and refreshing and can be enjoyed at any time of the day.

It’s also super easy and quick to make. Less than 5 minutes and you’ll be able to cheat your body into thinking you’re indulging because I mean, Creamsicles are hella good.

Simply place all of your ingredients into a blender and blend. If the mix is too solid, try sticking a spoon into your blender to mix it up (while your blender is off!). If it’s still too solid, gradually mix in a bit of milk (anything you have on hand is good – I usually use cashew or oat milk) until it reaches your desired smoothie like consistency.

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup freshly pressed orange about 1 orange
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup plain greek yogourt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tbsp ginger powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • +/- 5 ice cubes

Instructions
  1. Simply place all of your ingredients into a blender and blend.

  3. If you don't have a frozen banana on hand, simply add more ice cubes to give it that cold smoothie consistency.
